Mode of action
L-lysine is an amino acid found naturally in proteins and which can play a key role in the management of herpes virus infection. During replication of the feline herpes virus, increased levels of L-lysine have been shown to have inhibitory effects on the virus, as it competes with arginine, another amino acid, in the replication process.
